Most marinas run on a patchwork. The slip list lives in a spreadsheet, contracts go out as PDFs, checks come back in the mail, invoices sit in QuickBooks, haul-out dates are on a whiteboard, and the phone rings all day with questions only the office can answer. Each piece works on its own, and someone in the office spends the season copying between them.
SlipRight puts all of it in one place, and that place goes wherever you go: the office computer, the tablet on the dock, your phone, and every boat owner's phone. Your customers, slips, contracts, payments, and work requests stay together and current.
Everything the office did by hand, in one place
| What you do today | What SlipRight does |
|---|---|
| Keep a spreadsheet of who is in which slip | Draws your docks from an aerial photo and shows every boat in its slip |
| Mail a contract twice a year and type the answers back in | Sends offers that boat owners sign from their phone or any browser |
| Wait on checks and chase the ones that never come | Takes card or ACH into your own Stripe account, with autopay |
| Take work requests by voicemail | Puts every request, with its photo, on one board |
| Write haul-out dates on a whiteboard | Gives each boat a day and tells its owner |
| Keep insurance certificates in a folder | Shows whose registration and insurance are current, and asks for the rest |
Your docks, drawn for you
Type the marina's address and SlipRight drafts your docks and slips from an aerial photo. It finds the slips along each dock from the boats tied up in them, so the draft starts close to what you rent. You check it, fix what it missed, and number every dock in one go. From then on the map is live: each slip shows who is in it, and the winter yard gets a map of its own. More on that in a slip map drawn from an aerial photo.
Contracts that boat owners sign from their phone or any browser
Build the season's offer once from your own catalog and terms, then send it to one customer or all of them. Each boat owner sees the offer you sent, with their slip, the season, the services, and the haul-out and launch weeks. They pick what they want, type their legal name, and accept, and the invoices draft themselves on the schedule the offer set. The full walk-through is in slip contracts that boat owners sign on any screen.
Payments with no cut
Boat owners pay by card or ACH into your marina's own Stripe account. SlipRight takes no cut. You pay Stripe's rate and nothing on top.
- A boat owner can keep a card or bank account on file and turn on autopay, and a payment plan can require it.
- SlipRight marks an invoice Overdue on its own and mails the owner once, and late fees follow your setting.
- Every customer has a balance and a statement, in the office and on their own phone.
The whole money side is in marina billing software.
Work requests from the dock
Boat owners ask for work from their phone with a photo, and you run the board from new to done. The parts and labor go on the request, the parts come off your inventory, and the invoice is built from the same lines. See work orders boat owners send from the dock.
One conversation with each boat owner
Every customer has one thread with the office, with photos, a short video, or a pin from the dock. When the ice goes out, send one letter to the whole marina, one dock, or the winter yard, under your marina's name and logo. Everyone hears about what matters to them by email, a push on their phone, or a text, as they choose, and nothing buzzes overnight.

A user guide, built in
Help sits in the office's menu, with a short guide for every job: getting started, importing, the dashboard, messages, letters, the yard, work, billing, and your marina's settings. Search it from one box, and each guide goes straight to the task.
The same marina on every screen
Run the office from any browser, or keep the desktop app open all day. Walk the docks with your phone or a tablet, signed in with Face ID. Boat owners get My slip on iPhone and Android, and the same portal in any browser, so they stop calling to ask what they owe or when their boat comes out. A boat owner at two marinas sees both in one place, and a second boat stays on the same name. A marina app for your boat owners shows their side.
Set up the way your marina works
- Add fields of your own to every customer and boat, from a plate number to the insurer's name.
- Build the catalog from what you sell, priced flat or per foot, required or optional, or quoted later, and put the agreement in your own words.
- Keep a template for each season, with your payment splits and the questions you need answered.
- Turn on your marina's own page at slipright.app, where anyone can ask for a slip, a stay, or work on a boat, and paste one line to put the same form on your website.
- Decide which notices go out for the whole marina, and who in the office hears about customers.
Tell us what your marina needs next
We build SlipRight alongside the marinas that run on it, and we ship all the time. This fall alone we added a haul-out and launch calendar, transient stays, the marina's own page, late fees and statements, and tracking for registration and insurance. Late fees and saved cards both came from a marina that asked for them. If your marina needs something you don't see here, tell us and we'll drop you a line.
Comparing marina software
What marina management software costs puts Molo, Atlantis, and Dockwa beside SlipRight at 50, 100, and 200 slips, with the cut of payments in. If you're weighing one in particular, the Molo alternative, the Dockwa alternative, and the MarinaOffice alternative for marinas on Scribble's desktop software take each one on its own. For the docks themselves, slip management software for seasonal and transient slips covers who gets which slip and the weekend boats, and winter storage management covers the yard from haul-out to launch.
Getting started
We move your data free: customers, boats, and who is in which slip. Send us your spreadsheet or your current system's export, and we bring it in with a dry run that marks every row before anything is written. Moving a marina off a spreadsheet walks through it.
