If you run a seasonal marina of 50 to 200 slips on Molo, and the fees or the typing have started to wear on you, the time to look is before next season's renewal offers go out. For most marinas in the Northeast and the Great Lakes, that's between December and February.
SlipRight is marina management built for the season: the contract the boat owner signs, the payments that follow it, the haul-out and launch days around it, and an app that lets boat owners do all of it themselves. It costs one published price, takes no cut of payments, and we move your data free.
Molo pricing and fees
Storable Marine, which sells Molo, publishes no price, and every page on storablemarine.com ends at Request a Demo (checked October 14, 2026). The listings do show one: Capterra and Software Advice list $299 a month for up to 100 spaces.
The subscription is the smaller part. On top of it, from storablemarine.com, the Molo help center, and Capterra, checked October 14, 2026:
- Processing at 0.35% over cost. A marina that collects $400,000 a year through the system pays about $1,400 a year, or $117 a month, on top of the card rate.
- An e-transaction fee on online payments, billed twice a month, at a rate that appears only in the signed contract.
- A fee on instant payouts.
- Separate charges for drawing the map and importing your data.
SlipRight is $5 a slip a month, with 50 slips at least, and the yearly plan is ten months' price. Boat owners pay by card or ACH into your own Stripe account. SlipRight takes no cut. You pay Stripe's rate and nothing on top.
- SlipRight $0 You pay Stripe's rate and nothing on top.
- Molo $1,400 a year, about $117 a month Before the e-transaction fee, which only the signed contract prices.
The slip count assumes about $4,000 a slip a year collected through the system.
Molo vs SlipRight, side by side
Take a marina that collects about $4,000 a slip a year through the system. At 50 slips, Molo's $299 subscription plus 0.35% comes to about $357 a month before the e-transaction fee, and SlipRight is $250. At 100 slips Molo comes to about $416, and SlipRight's yearly plan is $417 a month, which is the whole bill, with nothing taken from payments and nothing charged for the map or the move. The full comparison across vendors is in what marina management software costs.
Molo's bill grows with what you collect, and SlipRight's doesn't. A good season on Molo costs more in fees; on SlipRight it's the same $5 a slip.
What your boat owners get
Molo's boater portal is a website with tabs for Dashboard, My Profile, Account Details, Payment Settings, Contracts, and Files, and a contract is a checkbox and Sign on the marina's terms. There's no boater app, and requests and messages aren't in the portal (Molo help center, October 14, 2026).
On SlipRight, boat owners get My slip on their phone, with Face ID sign-in on an iPhone, and the same portal in any browser.
- They see their slip on your map, and a second boat stays on the same name.
- They see the offer you sent, with the slip, the season, the haul-out and launch weeks, and the services, and sign it from their phone or any browser.
- They pay by card or ACH, keep a card or bank account on file, and turn on autopay, and a payment plan can require it.
- They ask for work from the dock with a photo, and talk to the office in one thread.
- They see their haul-out day, and ask to move it from the same screen.
- They hear about each of these by email, push, or text, whichever they choose.
What the office stops doing
Reviewers on Capterra describe staff typing every boater and vessel in by hand and fixing monthly invoice errors (October 14, 2026). On SlipRight:
- Boat owners add their own boats and keep their phone number current, so the office stops typing them in.
- SlipRight drafts the invoices from the payment schedule the owner chose, and the office sends them one at a time or all at once.
- SlipRight marks a late invoice Overdue on its own, mails the owner once, and adds a late fee if you turn them on.
- Fill the week hands each waiting boat a haul-out day, and Send dates tells every owner theirs.
- The office runs all of it from the computer, a tablet on the dock, or a phone.
How the move works
We move your data free: your customers, their boats, and who is in which slip. Your slips, inventory, and each customer's opening balance come in through the same import, the balance as one invoice per customer. Send us your Molo exports, and we run them through the same screens you would use. A dry run marks every row before anything is written, so you see the duplicates and the gaps first, and you can undo an import while nothing depends on it yet.
The cleanest switch for a seasonal marina is to start the new season on SlipRight and let Molo finish the old one.
- Next season's offers go out from SlipRight.
- Molo collects what's left on last season.
- You turn Molo off when that's done.
No agreement moves in the middle of its term. Cards on file with Molo don't come across, so each boat owner saves a card or bank account in My slip, and once your Stripe takes payments the invite letter asks them to. Moving a marina off a spreadsheet walks through the import step by step.
