Most marinas rent the same docks two ways. Seasonal slip holders sign once a year and keep their slip, and transients come for a few nights and want to know today whether there's room. When the season lives in a spreadsheet and the transients in a booking sheet or another app, someone at the desk checks both before every yes. SlipRight is slip management software that keeps both on one map and one calendar, so a slip that belongs to a seasonal holder can't be booked to a transient by mistake.
Who gets which seasonal slip
Each slip carries its number, its dock, and its size: width, length, height, water depth, and power. For slip assignment, Assign slip opens from a customer or from a slip. The office picks the customer and the boat, and the slips on offer are the ones the boat fits. SlipRight warns when someone else is already in that slip, or when the customer would leave the one they have, and the office can assign many slips at once.
The waitlist is the line for a slip. Add someone as Waitlist and they're placed by the day they joined, with their place (#1, #2) on the customer list, and they aren't billed until they get a slip, an offer, or an invoice. When a slip opens, the first name in line is right there.
Maps shows the docks on your marina's aerial photo, every slip with who is in it, and what's open. A marina slip map drawn from an aerial photo covers how the map gets made.
Renewals, once a year
A seasonal template is the offer for the season: its dates, your terms, the services from your catalog, and the payment splits. New offer sends it to one customer or all of them, and each owner signs from their phone or any browser. The signed offer comes back with the boat, the services, the payment plan, and the haul-out and launch weeks when the template asks for them, and SlipRight drafts the invoices from it. The Renewals report lists who hasn't renewed yet, so the office knows whose slip may open before the waitlist hears about it. Slip contracts that boat owners sign on any screen walks through the season step by step.
Transient slips, night by night
Any slip can be marked Transient, rented by the night, and the office keeps as many of them as it likes. The calendar's Transient tab lists those slips down the side and fourteen nights across, and each stay is a bar from the night it arrives to its last night, with the boater's name. A slip held by a seasonal agreement shows as a grey Seasonal bar on the same grid, so the office sees the season and the transients together.
Tap an open night to book a stay, and pick the slip, the nights, and the customer. A transient template prices it: per night, per foot per night with a night's minimum, or a flat line such as a pump-out.
The stay goes to the boater as an offer. They accept it in My slip, or the office accepts it for them when they call, and its invoice goes out the moment it's accepted, so they can pay by card or ACH right away. SlipRight takes no cut. You pay Stripe's rate and nothing on top.
Boaters asking from your website
The marina's page at slipright.app/m/your-marina, which also sits inside your own website, takes requests for a summer slip, winter or dry storage, a transient stay, or work on a boat. A boater asking for a stay types the nights and the boat's length and sees the answer as they go: "There's room for a 32 ft boat those 3 nights." What they send lands in Inquiries, where the office books the stay, adds a seasonal request to the waitlist, or sends an offer. Nothing is booked until the office says yes.
The whole marina in one view
On Maps, a transient slip with a boat in it tonight reads Occupied, with the boater's name and the day they leave. The Occupancy report counts every slip held by month, seasonal agreements and transient nights together, so the season's numbers include the weekend boats too. In the fall, the boats on winter offers get their haul-out days from the same system, and winter storage on SlipRight covers the yard.
Tell us how you run your docks
Every marina splits its docks a little differently. If yours works in a way this doesn't show, tell us how and we'll work it out with you.
