A Dockwa alternative when you rent by the season

SlipRight

If most of your slips go to the same boats every season, and you pay for Dockwa module by module, this is the math and the difference. Dockwa sells transient booking, contracts, spaces, fuel, and point of sale as separate modules. SlipRight is one product built around the season: the contract the boat owner signs, the payments that follow it, the haul-out and launch days around it, and the few visitors who tie up in between.

Dockwa pricing by module

Dockwa sells its software by the module. On its pricing page, as of October 20, 2026, each is "starting at", based on annual billing:

  • Transient from $169 a month;
  • Captains & Contracts from $180;
  • Spaces from $180;
  • Fuel Management from $199, and Point of Sale from $249;
  • Dry Stack from $99, Integrations from $84, and Insights from $139.

A seasonal marina that wants contracts, a map of its spaces, and a way to take the occasional visitor buys the first three, which start at $529 a month. Every module on the list together starts at $1,299 a month.

One price for the whole season

SlipRight is one price: $5 a slip a month with a 50-slip minimum, billed month to month, and the yearly plan is ten months' price, so two months are free. There are no modules. Every marina gets the map, customers, contracts, payments, requests, messaging, transient stays, the haul-out calendar, and the boat owner app for that one number. The office runs it from the computer, a tablet on the dock, or a phone, and boat owners from theirs.

Here's how a season runs on SlipRight.

  1. The office builds an offer from its catalog, with the slip, the season's price, the services, and the haul-out and launch weeks on it, and sends it to one customer or all of them.
  2. Boat owners sign the contract from their phone or any browser, and invoices follow on the schedule the offer set.
  3. The calendar turns those weeks into days, so each owner sees which day is theirs and can ask to move it.
On the boat owner's phone: the services they picked, their legal name, and Accept, then Pay on the first invoice.

Payments with no cut

Boat owners pay by card or ACH into the marina's own Stripe account. SlipRight takes no cut. You pay Stripe's rate and nothing on top. A boat owner can keep a card or bank account on file and turn on autopay, and a payment plan can require it, so the spring installment arrives without a phone call. When an invoice is late, SlipRight marks it Overdue and mails the owner once, and late fees follow your setting.

Visitors on the same map

Seasonal boats and visitors share one map and one calendar. A transient slip is booked by the night at the rates on your transient template, stays sit on a two-week calendar, and SlipRight refuses a double booking. Your marina's own page on slipright.app, or the same form embedded on your website, lets a boater ask for a stay with a live check on room for their boat those nights, and the office confirms it from the Inquiries inbox. Stays are billed like everything else.

Your marina's page, as a boater asking for a stay sees it: there's room for their boat those nights.

Moving over

We move your data free: customers, boats, and who is in which slip, with a dry run that marks every row before anything is written. The cleanest time is between seasons: next season's offers go out from SlipRight, and the old system finishes collecting the last one. Moving a marina off a spreadsheet walks through the import step by step.
